Practical information

Description

The architecture of Les Arcs is intimately linked to the legacy of Charlotte Perriand, who devoted the last twenty years of her career to the resort. Along with other architects and urban planners from the modern movement, she helped to imagine an innovative architecture, integrated into its environment and designed from the inside out.

Here, the buildings hug the slopes, fade into the landscape, avoid overlooking and leave plenty of room for light and views. The apartments, functional and minimalist, open onto the mountains through large glass façades. Today, this approach has made Les Arcs a benchmark for contemporary architecture in the mountains.

To discover this heritage, several formats are available: guided tours, Archistoire mobile app, discovery booklet and heritage trail designed for families.
