Whether starting from Bourg Saint Maurice (840m) or Beaufort (765m), take this opportunity to explore this legendary route with family, friends, or on your own.
Join us at Cormet de Roselend for a festive refreshment stop with a stunning view.
The most adventurous can tackle the round trip from Bourg Saint Maurice to Beaufort, a distance of about 80 km.
To climb the 1,128 m elevation gain over a distance of about 19 km from Bourg Saint Maurice, the fittest riders will take about an hour and a half, but you have the whole morning ahead of you.
Vehicular and pedestrian traffic is prohibited outside designated areas and trails, on the D902 and D925 roads between the hamlet of “Bonneval,” Cormet de Roselend, and the intersection of the D925 and the access road to the hamlet of Les Cernix between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Practical Information
- Free registration. Walk-ins welcome: just show up on race day at the starting line and join the climb!
- Open to all cyclists
- Participants welcome starting at 8:15 a.m. at Place Castex (in front of the Coopérative Laitière) in Bourg Saint Maurice.
- Roads D902 and D925 will be closed from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM between Bonneval (Bourg Saint Maurice) and the intersection of the D925 and the access road to Les Cernix (Beaufort).
- At the top of the pass, complimentary refreshments and live music!
- Recommended start time: before 10:30 AM
