To celebrate this special milestone, we invited street artist Saype to the party. He came to create two monumental murals on the snow-covered slopes of Paradiski.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Paradiski is thinking big—really, really big!
The artwork, titled “Encordés,” consists of two installations, each measuring 1,000 m². In this piece, two children join forces to climb a mountain and blaze a trail. Tied together, neither can move forward without the other; complementing one another, they unite to defy the impossible. Just like these children, Paradiski has come together to connect two valleys and resorts that were once far apart but are now so close…
Known worldwide for his ephemeral murals on grass created using 100% eco-friendly paint, Saype accepted the challenge—both artistic and technical—of painting on snow. For Saype, this project “is an opportunity to take on a creative and poetic challenge, set against the backdrop of vast, pure, and pristine nature.” Through his art, Saype seeks to connect people with one another! The choice of artist was therefore a natural one, as his approach—using eco-friendly paint—and his vision of art, which aims to influence mindsets and society without harming nature, immediately won us over.

But who is the land artist Saype?
In each of his works, Saype captures the fragility of our societies and the challenges we will face in the future. He creates monumental murals on grass, earth, sand, and snow around the world: New York, Paris, Venice, Geneva, Cape Town, Turin, Dubai, Nairobi, Istanbul, Ouagadougou, Miami, Tokyo...
The purpose of these ephemeral murals is to influence attitudes while respecting the environment. They are created using eco-friendly paint composed primarily of chalk and charcoal. Once nature has caused them to fade away, Saype’s works find their place in museums, galleries, and cultural institutions around the world.
Among his most striking works is the “Beyond Walls” series. This monumental project was born from a central premise: the world is becoming increasingly polarized, and part of the population is choosing to turn inward. However, as Saype emphasizes, “I am deeply convinced that it is only by working together that humanity will be able to meet the various challenges it must overcome.” It was from this conviction that the desire arose to share a positive message of mutual aid and collective effort across the globe by symbolically creating the world’s largest human chain ever assembled. The project began in 2019 in Paris, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, and is traveling the world from city to city with the goal of spanning all five continents and connecting people.
