Signature Les Arcs
The uniqueness of the resorts in Les Arcs stems from the architectural philosophy that shaped their design: rooflines that follow the contours of the ridges, the absence of cars within the resorts, open-air shopping arcades, and residences oriented so that every resident enjoys a panoramic view, and the stylish apartments, functionally designed so that both skiers and golfers can enjoy a comfortable stay.
The architectural style of Les Arcs’ residences is decidedly modern; it does not evoke the image of a traditional mountain resort but rather that of a major leisure center. This is why the “SIGNATURE LES ARCS” distinction promotes the distinctive architectural style of Les Arcs.
The apartments are pre-selected by the Maison des Propriétaires.
The jury
A jury of experts visits and evaluates these interiors.
The jury consists of: a journalist, an architect, an artist or designer, a photographer or videographer, and a representative from an institution.
The Evaluation
A framework for analysis and evaluation based on the quality of architectural research is provided as an assessment tool.
The evaluation is based on four themes:
- The conceptual legacy of Les Arcs
- Contemporary style
- The functionality and sustainability of facilities and materials
- The sense of well-being and the benefits of design
The decision to award the SIGNATURE LES ARCS distinction is made following deliberation by the jury.
A SIGNATURE LES ARCS award ceremony is then held in the presence of the owners.
