When the mountains are blanketed in snow, Les Arcs offers plenty of ways to enjoy the winter. Whether it’s skiing, exploring at high altitudes, or other activities, discover the accessible experiences and practical information you need to plan your trip. 

The Winter Estate

In winter, enjoy the Les Arcs ski area and its various high-altitude zones. Slopes, panoramic views, places to explore, and activities: several sites offer facilities or solutions designed to make them more accessible.

Wheelchairs available throughout the resort

To facilitate access to certain exploration areas and viewpoints, wheelchairs are available at several locations:

  • Mineral Gallery – Transarc midway point
  • Illuminated Murals – Varet summit, with access to the terrace via elevator
  • Balcony in the Clouds – Transarc and Arcabulle summits, Col de la Chal; one wheelchair available in the restrooms
  • Mountain Animal Museum – Vallandry summit, with two wheelchairs available at the top of the ski lift in the staff room and access to the museum via elevator

High-Altitude Experiences

The zipline may be accessible with assistance, depending on the nature of the disability. Be sure to contact the staff in advance to verify access conditions and arrange your visit.

At the Passerelle de l’Aiguille Rouge, a wheeled cart is also available to transport a handski to the site.

Accessible restrooms on the resort grounds

Accessible restrooms are available at several locations:

  • Pré Saint Esprit, with an accessible parking space nearby
  • Marmottes
  • Col de la Chal
  • Varet – G2
  • Vallandry – G1 and G2
  • Bourg Saint Maurice Funicular

Handiski

Everyone can enjoy the thrill of skiing. Uniski, dualski, tandem skiing, or even kartski: there are various options that let you discover or rediscover the joys of skiing, depending on your situation and level of independence.

In Les Arcs, local organizations, ski schools, and resort staff can help you plan your adaptive skiing experience under the best possible conditions.

Ski Passes & Lifts

All ski lifts in the resort are accessible to people with disabilities.

A 50% discount is available to holders of a disability card. This offer is valid only at the ticket office

Facilitating Access to the Lifts

In the gondolas, wheelchairs can be provided to help skiers transfer into the cabin.

We recommend checking your equipment before heading out and, depending on your skill level, being accompanied while on the slopes.

Storing Your Equipment

At the Transarc station, you can store:

  • handiski equipment overnight 
  • wheelchairs during the day

A tarp is provided by ADS. Please bring your own padlock.

Ski Schools & Adapted Lessons

Several ski schools offer adapted lessons and adaptive skiing experiences, depending on your situation and skill level.

Nordic Skiing

The Peisey-Nancroix Nordic Center, located in Pont Baudin, offers a variety of activities and services: classic and skating-style cross-country skiing, biathlon, snowshoeing, equipment rentals, and guided tours with the ESF.
