For its 17th edition, the Festival takes on a vital and timely theme: “CINEMA AND DEMOCRACY: TO LES ARCS, CITIZENS!”
On the schedule
- Engaging films that examine our times,
- Film screenings followed by discussions and special events with experts,
- Workshops for industry professionals,
- Presentation of the “Déplacer les Montagnes” Award,
- Talks by Cyril Dion (director of *Demain*) and Marc Lazar (historian and political expert)
- This year, Greece—the cradle of democracy and a land of bold creativity—takes center stage.
Special guests
Les Arcs welcomes three leading voices in European cinema:
- Isabelle Adjani – A legend of French cinema, who first came to prominence in François Truffaut’s *The Story of Adèle H.* and has won multiple awards for *Queen Margot*, *Camille Claudel*, and *The Day of the Skirt*.
- Daniel Brühl – An internationally acclaimed actor known for *Good Bye Lenin!*, *Inglourious Basterds*, and the Marvel Universe (*Captain America: Civil War*).
- Tarik Saleh, a multi-award-winning director for *Cairo Confidential* and *The Cairo Conspiracy*
