For its 18th edition, the Les Arcs Film Festival invites movie lovers, curious visitors, and industry professionals to join us from December 12 to 19, 2026. Eight days to discover the best of European cinema, in a setting that’s itself worthy of the big screen!
On the program: more than 120 films, preview screenings, meet-and-greets with directors and actors, as well as discussions and debates on current topics.
And because in Les Arcs, the fun doesn’t stop at the theater doors, between screenings, you can hit the slopes or relive the movie over a hot chocolate.

This year, the festival is heading south and rolling out the red carpet for Spanish cinema. And let’s just say it’s sure to be the talk of the town!
With three films in competition at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, Spain is cementing its place among the major nations of European cinema. From Pedro Almodóvar to Rodrigo Sorogoyen, along with a new generation of talent, Iberian cinema continues to surprise us.
It’s sure to bring a little Spanish sunshine to the heart of the Savoyard winter.
AI Takes Center Stage
Artificial intelligence is everywhere—even on our screens. Somewhere between fascination and concern, it raises a flood of questions about our relationship with technology, humanity, and the living world.
For its 2026 thematic focus, dedicated to the relationship between artificial intelligence, humanity, and living beings, Les Arcs Film Festival invites us to explore the subject through films, discussions, and debates with guests and experts. It’s an opportunity to compare perspectives, challenge preconceived notions, and imagine what lies ahead.
One thing is certain: to take a step back and reflect on AI, it’s hard to find a better place than the peaks of Les Arcs!
Kleber Mendonça Filho Takes the Helm of the Jury!
This year, a leading figure in Brazilian cinema is heading up the Feature Film Jury at the Arcs Film Festival! Kleber Mendonça Filho will have the delicate task of selecting the winners from among the films in competition.
And when it comes to his track record, he’s got plenty to impress with! Director of *Aquarius* and *Bacurau*, which won the Jury Prize at Cannes in 2019, he also made a mark at the 2025 edition of the festival with *The Secret Agent*, which earned him the Best Director Award and four Oscar nominations in 2026.
It remains to be seen which film will win him over and take home the Crystal Arrow!

At Les Arcs, cinema does more than just entertain: it educates, raises awareness, and inspires!
For budding film lovers:
Special screenings, workshops, a youth jury, educational programs, meetings with industry professionals, family activities… The festival offers countless opportunities to discover cinema, particularly through projects carried out with schools and local partners.
For a more responsible film industry:
- Initiatives focused on the ecological transition;
- Concrete actions to promote gender equality and diversity;
- The “Woman in Film” Award and the “Emerging Composer” Award;
- Programs in partnership with the Lab Femmes de Cinéma and the Collectif 50/50.

While audiences are treated to a visual feast, the behind-the-scenes world of European cinema is also buzzing in Les Arcs!
Every year, nearly 1,000 film industry professionals gather at the festival to network, develop new projects, and envision the films of tomorrow.
At the heart of these gatherings:
- The Industry Village, designed to encourage co-productions and support emerging talent.
- The Les Arcs Summit, to discuss the industry’s major challenges, from innovation to the future of movie theaters.
- The Music Village, where film and music come together.
