We know that a ski trip has an impact on the mountains and the environment. Traveling, lodging, eating, using equipment or infrastructure—all of these activities generate emissions.
A study conducted by Utopies and Air Coop provides a better understanding of where these emissions come from: a day of skiing generates an average of 48.9 kg of CO₂ per person, 52% of which is attributable to transportation.
So rather than looking the other way, we prefer to take action where the impact is greatest.
