Varet – A unique high-altitude experience
Perched at an altitude of 2,730 meters, the Varet Panoramic Terrace offers one of the finest views in Les Arcs. Accessible from Arc 2000 via the Varet gondola, it serves as the ideal starting point before heading up to the summit of the Aiguille Rouge.
While there, enjoy a tasty treat at B.O.B, watch people set off on the Aiguille Rouge zip line, discover the "Fresques Lumineuses" (light art installations), or take the time to learn more about the Varet glacier at the educational area set up on the terrace.
From Varet, you can also spot the old Arc 2000 speed skiing (KL) run—which made history during the 1992 Albertville Olympic Games—where top speed specialists exceeded 200 km/h.
On a clear day, the panorama opens up to reveal iconic Alpine peaks—such as the Roignais and Pierra Menta—and the surrounding high-mountain landscapes.
