Candlelight: Magic Comes to the Summit
For the first time ever, the famous Candlelight concerts are bringing their candles to a French ski resort—and it’s happening in Les Arcs!
This winter, head to the Centre Bernard Taillefer in Arc 1800 for a musical experience unlike any you’ve ever had in the mountains. With its distinctive architecture and unique atmosphere, the venue is adorned with thousands of candles and transformed into a veritable showcase of golden light.
Just imagine: outside, snow-capped mountains. Inside, the soft glow of candles, musicians reinterpreting the greatest hits in classical arrangements—from Goldman to ABBA, including Hans Zimmer’s iconic scores… All in an intimate setting, right in the heart of the mountains.
An unexpected setting, a unique atmosphere, and your favorite songs to rediscover in a whole new way… You have to admit, it’s a nice change from the usual après-ski parties!
And since we couldn’t decide between all these musical styles, we’re treating you to four concerts spread over two evenings. Now it’s up to you to choose!
Act 1: December 27
6:00 p.m. – Tribute to Jean-Jacques Goldman
Since we can’t see Jean-Jacques Goldman in person (we would have loved to, too), let yourself be swept away by the sweet melodies of his greatest hits, reimagined in a classical style. Songs we know by heart, memories that come flooding back from the very first notes—all in an intimate, candlelit setting. Nostalgia guaranteed!
8:00 p.m. – Tribute to ABBA
Have you always dreamed of experiencing the atmosphere of *Mamma Mia* on a small Greek island? As for the turquoise sea, you’ll have to come back another time… Here, it’s more like snow-capped mountains. From “Dancing Queen” to “Voulez-vous,” let yourself be transported to ABBA’s ’70s world. Greece in the dead of winter has its own charm, too.
On January 8, we’re doing it all over again!
6:00 p.m. – Tribute to Coldplay & Imagine Dragons
Are you more of a “Viva La Vida” or “Demons” kind of person? Good news—you don’t have to choose! Sit back, relax, and let yourself be carried away. The iconic melodies of Coldplay and Imagine Dragons take on a whole new dimension in this intimate atmosphere, blending tenderness, emotion, and thrills.
8:00 p.m. – Tribute to Hans Zimmer
Did you linger a little too long at the après-ski? Don’t panic—there’s one final concert left! This time, close your eyes and let yourself be swept away into the world of the great Hans Zimmer. Iconic film scores and the feeling of being transported right into the heart of the big screen—all from the cozy comfort of the Bernard Taillefer Hall. You have to admit, with the mountains as a backdrop, it’s hard to imagine a better setting.
