The two floors devoted to permanent and unique exhibition, its unique genre in Haute-Tarentaise, now welcome visitors every day, during the opening hours of the store.
Description
The exhibition, designed for the whole family, is dedicated to Haute Tarentaise and Beaufort cheese AOP. It shows the complete cycle of production of the prince of Savoyard cheeses, the unique soil of Haute Tarentaise, its reliefs, its flora, its beautiful cows of Tarine breed, as well as the professions related to the production of Beaufort AOP. From manufacturing to refining, readings in videos, scents, sounds, images, multiple animations invite to a complete immersion in the heart of the valley and the Beaufort. Here a cow is milked; there we find ourselves in the heart of a copper tank; at the top we find ourselves in the alp, in the corridor we meet the 52 producers giving their milk to the Cooperative.
