INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED BASE OF BOURG-SAINT-MAURICE

The Haute-Isère base provides a magnificent setting for competitions, right at the heart of nature. It boasts all the necessary organisational and logistical requirements for very high level Canoeing events. It is known for its technical and sporty nature.

The Haut-Isère is one of the longest rafting courses in France, taking more than 2 hours to complete . It is a varying course, (ideal for active people looking for an adventure) that ends by passing through a beautiful gorge. Situated at the crossroads of several rivers, it is ideal for day outings, weekend stays or week-long holidays. It also offers great fresh water swimming, during the fresh water season that runs from 1 May to 30 September, thanks to the fast fl owing currents and glaciers that feed it.

Outings to the Haut-Isere river are guaranteed to be great fun for all!

Competition base :

The competition base is a natural site in the Haute Isère region, offering the following characteristics :

 Length : 350 metres - Width : 20 to 25 metres - Flow : 25 to 30 m3/s regulated by a dam - Accessible all year round.

The last adjustments carried out on the International Running Water Basin of Bourg Saint Maurice at the time of the finale of world cup of Canöé Kayak 2005 made it possible to the team of France to obtain many medals at the time of the Olympic Games in Athens.
