 The road from Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Arc 2000 offers a beautiful view over the Haute- Tarentaise valley.

 Guide Information. From Bourg-Saint- Maurice, take the Arc 2000 direction. Park your car at the entrance to the resort (next to Club Méditerranée). Walk through the shopping centre and follow the track towards the chalets de l’Arc and the little Saint-Jacques chapel. Take the footparth marked « Circuit des lacs « that goes under the Saint-Jacques chairlift and takes you to the lake of the same name. Walk up under the Dou de l’Homme chairlift and carry on along the mountainside towards a small projecting ledge overlooking the lac de l’Homme (lake). Carry straight on. The path on the right leads down as far as the lake. The path then meets a track suitable for vehicles that leads to the lac Marloup. Next take the track on the left hand-side that leads to the lac de Moutons (2574 metres). Beautiful view over the Bellecôte mountain range, the Aiguille Rouge (3227 metres) and the Italian side of the Mont-Blanc with la Dent du Géant, les Arêtes de Rochefort and les Grandes Jorasses on the right.
