The Robert Blanc refuge is located in a stony area in the high mountains.

  •  Refuge Robert Blanc - A map is strongly advised. The Robert Blanc refuge is located in a stony area in the high mountains. It is accessible to all and boasts a unique panorama over the Vanoise national park and the Oisans region.
Robert Blanc was a high mountain guide and one of the founders of the resort of Les Arcs. Guy Rey-Millet was an architect and close friend who created a refuge in his memory on this unique site.

  •  Informations Guide : From Bourg Saint Maurice, at the roundabout opposite the Coopérative de Beaufort (a yellow building), follow signs for Cormet de Roseland (D902). After about 10 kms turn right towards les Chapieux. Go though the village of les Chapieux and carry on along a narrow road which overlooks the Glaciers torrent. At the place known as les Séloges, carry on towards the Ville des Glaciers (the last section of this road is not tarmacked), and follow the road right up to the end where you will see the Lanchettes car park. You can see the refuge from here. The path leading to up it passes on the left hand side of the farm then continues alongside the Lanchettes stream (beautiful waterfall). You will reach a projecting ledge at the foot of the glacial moraines that are overlooked by the Mont-Tondu. These are covered in plants all along the side of the stream (rhododendrons at the start of the season). Turn off to the right here and walk alongside the red rocks (orange markers).
You can sleep in the refuge (1/2 board).

Go back along the same route.
