  •  Informations Guide From Bourg Saint Maurice take the Cormet (mountain pass) de Roseland direction at the roundabout, opposite the Beaufort cheese factory. After le Chatelard, turn left towards les Echines. Go past the fort du Truc and follow the track that leads towards the fort de la Platte ; this track is not tarmacked but has authorised car parking at the fort. When you leave the fort, about 300 metres down the lane take a well marked footpath on the right that overlooks the Chardonnay valley. You should reach the 5th lake in 2 hours. It is situated in a pretty cirque with a beautiful view over the Tarentaise region.
