» Avalanche Parc - English

Raising awareness about searching in an avalanche situation and the dangers of off-piste skiing...

Located between the summit of the Transarc gondola and the restaurant Le Crêche, the Avalanche Parc is easy to access and free of charge.

It is easy to get there
- by the Transarc gondola from Arc 1800
- by the Marmottes and Arcabulle chairlift from Arc 2000 and Arc 1950
- by the Cachette chairlift from Arc 1600 and the Transarc gondola

The Avalanche Parc has a fixed electronic training system comprising a control panel (starter, timer, selection of number of victims) and ten beacons buried at the start of winter, simulating avalanche victims and allowing a random search. These beacons stop the timer upon contact with three strikes of the probe.

Meet at the new information and rescue station, at the top of the Aarcbulle ski-lift to increase your awareness of the dangers of off-piste skiing; the pistes department will be organising:

- two half-days per week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 2.30p.m.
